Whitby Bus | Monday 21 April

Bookings for the end of season trip to Whitby Town on Bank Holiday Monday are now being taken – for both members and non members.

At present we are close to filling up the second bus, so it’s highly likely we’ll end up needing a third bus and possibly even a forth bus if the interest holds up!

The busses will be leaving Blyth at 9am from The Wallaw, with one bus doing a pick up in Seaton Delaval, while another will go through Cramlington for the High Pit pick up. If you require a pick up at either Seaton Delaval or High Pit, please let us know when booking.

As we’ll be taking a few busses down, these will be numbered as they have been in previous years, and bus lists will be posted nearer the time – so please watch out for them on the website and on social media.

We’re hoping to get down to Whitby for 10:30(ish), where we’ll be parking up at the Coach Park in Whitby, located at the south end of the Town.

Supporters are then of course free to head off and explore the many pubs, chippies, restaurants and other activities the town has to offer! Notable pubs being The Angel, The Golden Lion, The Buck Inn, The Jolly Sailors, The Star Inn and The Dolphin.

Once everyone has been fed and watered, the busses will be leaving from the Coach Park to head up to the ground at 2.15pm (sharp), so if you miss the bus up to the ground, you’ll have a nice 20 minute walk up the bank to enjoy.

At present no segregation is set to be in place, so Spartans fans should be welcome in the clubhouse at the ground to sneak a pint in before the game.

Once the game is finished we’ll be leaving as soon as we can, so please ensure you head straight back to the bus once the game is over – as we’ll be looking to set off home straight away.

Once the drop off’s in Seaton Delightful and High Pit are complete, we should expect to be back in Blyth for 7pm – and it’ll be off to the Masons for a final few drinks!

This years fancy dress theme was set to be Only Fools and Horses, however given the club’s impending relegation – most don’t seem to interested in that anymore.

So instead, we’ll be making it ‘Harry Dunn appreciation day’ in honour of one the football clubs greatest ever managers.

Adhesive tache’s will be the order of the day – but if you’re brave enough to grow your own, they’ll be a prize in for you!

Members – £20

Non members – £25
