With 8 of the 2020/21 cup run hero’s still at the club, Chorley know all about FA cup success and will obviously fancy another go after cup upsets against Wigan Athletic, Peterborough United and Derby County before losing to Premier League side Wolves in the 4th round.
Star man from that cup run Connor Hall is still with the club and has 5 goals in 9 games so far this season, including 1 against Spartans back in August when we drew 1-1 in Fents’ first game. So far this season Chorley are unbeaten at home and have only lost 1 of their last 10 games, making Saturday a huge task for Spartans.
Ticket info
Chorley have been kind enough to offer discounted tickets for FA Cup games so far this season. At the moment they don’t seem to be selling tickets online (despite saying they would) so looks like a pay on the day job.
Chorley don’t sell a physical matchday programme anymore, but you can order one at matchdaycreative.co.uk. They’ll also post a free digital PDF version on Saturday morning.
Pubs
The Minstrel (PR7 3PQ) are hosting Spartans fans from 12pm and are putting on some free food for us. They’ll have Fosters, Coors, San Miguel, Moretti, Guinness, John Smiths, Strongbow, Magners, Dark Fruits, 61 Deep and about 4 cask ales on tap. Bar at the ground is open from 12:30pm but they usually only have about 3 people serving.
The Green Army bus is full! with a few on reserve thankfully. if you’re going down in the car, you’d be best of parking the car on Pilling Lane as you won’t get in the car park, and it’s easier to leave from the Pilling Lane end.
No segregation is place so we’ll have free roam of the terraces as per. We’ll likely be shooting towards the Pilling Lane end in the 2nd half as we normally do.
Hopefully we’re in for a repeat of March’s victory and the party on the bus afterwards!
