With the fixtures for our 2025/26 Northern Premier League East campaign, here’s an updated look at what we’ll be doing for away travel throughout the first 2 months of the season.

The first away trip of the season will see us make the short(ish) journey down the road and up a hill to old Northern League rivals Consett.
The date for this game is Tuesday 12th August, so we’ll be setting off from The Wallaw at 5:45pm, with pick ups at High Pit (5:55pm) and Seaton Delaval (6pm).
The bus will heading straight to the ground, landing for 7pm(ish) depending on traffic. We’ll be leaving from Consett straight after the game, which should get us back to Blyth just before 11pm.

Prices for the Consett bus will be as follows.
Members – £15
Non members – £18

A break for the the FA Cup is up next, where we’ll either face a trip to Newcastle Benfield or Pontefract Collieries in the Preliminary Round. Should Benfield win in the Extra Preliminary Round, then of course a bus won’t be needed. However should Ponte of course win, then a bus will be required.

The buss would be leaving at 10am from The Wallaw, with the usual pick up’s at High Pit (10.10am) and Seaton Delaval (10.15am).
Ponte appear to be ground sharing with Ossett United this season, so we’d plan on heading straight down to the ground to park up as it’s tight in the Town Centre, and therefore close to loads of pubs!

If you wish to provisionally put your name down, by all means do get in touch. Payment won’t be required until the bus is confirmed however.
The first ‘proper’ league awayday of the season takes us to North Yorkshire and newly promoted Silsden, on the August Bank Holiday Saturday.

With it being the Bank Holiday, we’d have to assume many would want to get down early and explore the many pubs the village has to offer, so we’ll be leaving from The Wallaw at 9:30am with pick ups in High Pit (9:40am) and Seaton Delaval (9:45am) to ensure we land for 12pm.
The bus will be dropping us off at specific spot (TBC) and then coming back to take us to the ground at 2.15pm. As ever, we’ll be leaving straight after the game – which should see us home for 7pm.

Next up is our return to action to both the FA Trophy and North Ferriby, for the first time since 2018 where Tony Young ended up running the line 8 cans deep in size 9 trainers (he normally struggles to squeeze into his trendy size 12 slazengers).

The date for this game is Saturday 6 September, and the bus will be leaving from The Wallaw at 9:30am, before heading up to High Pit for a pick up at 9:40am, and then across into Seaton Delaval for 9:45am. We’ll then head to a local watering hole (probably the same Spoons we went to last time, if anyone can remember which one that was?) before moving onto the ground for 2pm.

Finally we have Hallam, a trip more than a handful of you have been looking forward to! The date for this trip is Saturday 20 September, and to ensure we arrive in Sheffield with plenty of time, we’ll departing from The Wallaw at 9am. The usual pick ups at High Pit (9:10am) and Seaton Delaval (9:15am) will of course follow.

Like the above mentioned trips, we’ll be heading into the town first of all – which we expect to arrive in for midday. We’ll then be transported down to the ground from one of the local pubs we end up in (whichever one Porky guides us to) at 2pm. As per, we’ll be departing straight after the game.

Non members – £32

Hopefully outlining our first few planned trips for the season will be a bit more useful. It should be noted of course that any progress in the FA Cup may of course scupper some of these plans, though we’ll have to consider that a good problem! To quickly summarise the above…
Tue 12 Aug | Consett | Members – £15 / Non-members – £18
Sat 16 Aug | Pontefract Colliers | Members – £23 / Non-members – £28 (PROVISIONAL INFO)
Sat 23 Aug | Silsden | Members – £23 / Non-members – £28
Sat 6 Sep | North Ferriby | Members £23 / Non-members – £28
Sat 20 Sep | Hallam | Members – £27 / Non-members – £32
Payment details remain the same for now – however some changes on how away trips are paid will be communicated in the near future. If you still have credit, that will of course be used for whicher bus(es) you decide to book on.
If you have any queries regarding away travel, please feel free to drop me a message. Hoping to see as many of you at the above games as possible!
Cheers,
Dan Rolls
