Blyth Spartans and Tyne Met’s relationship began back in 2019, when the academy was formed to complete in National League Youth Alliance leagues, and it has gone from strength to strength over the last 5 years.
The academy currently has two sides at present, with the U17’s (first year scholars) competing in the NLFA Division G, while the U19’s (2nd and 3rd year scholars) compete in the NLFA North Division. An U18 side (a mixture of both academy teams) also represents Blyth Spartans in the FA Youth Cup.
Former Premier League player and former Spartans player, assistant manager and manager Graham Fenton leads the U19’s, while long-time youth coach and experienced Northern League manager Mark Nash currently leads the the U17’s team.

Please see the below links from the FA’s website for information on fixtures and league tables. Note though that the fixture location for games is not always accurate, as games that often state they are taking place at Croft Park often take place at Cochrane Park.
Note that FA Youth Cup fixtures for the Under 18’s will not appear on the FA Website. You can find news on the Youth Cup here.
