For the second year on the bounce, we’re very pleased to confirm we’ll be organising another ‘Play on the Pitch’ fundraiser at Croft Park.
This year’s game will be taking place on Saturday 2nd May, with an earlier kick off time of 12pm. This year we’ll be competing for the TUS Cup!
To make sure nobody accidentally ends up with 14 players on the pitch this time, refereeing savant Tony Young will be the man in the middle. Should the game end in a draw, we’ll be going straight to a penalty shootout.
First team manager Marc Nash will be leading one side, while assistant manager Anthony Woodhouse will lead the other.
To help ensure everyone gets a fair amount of playing time, only 32 slots will be made available this year – so if you’re interested in taking part, we’d recommend booking up quickly.
The Social Club will be open throughout the day, for those requiring refreshments! Like last year, those taking part will be supplied with an array of pizza’s and more, courtesy of the world famous Gino’s across both days.
Family, friends and supporters are welcome to come and witness what will no doubt be a footballing spectacle! Entry will be ‘pay what you want’ as it was last year, with the donations from the gate going to Tiny Lives – a charity that supports and champions premature and sick newborn babies and their families, at the Newcastle Neonatal Service and across the North East and North Cumbria.
